River Valley Walk with Dwayne Donald
Meeting Place: North end of HUB Mall at street level
Explore the history of the Aboriginal peoples of Edmonton through a walking tour of the River Valley led by Dr. Dwayne Donald of the Faculty of Education. By walking together through the River Valley and sharing some stories, Dr. Donald hopes to spark a place-based ethical imagination regarding the interrelatedness of the past, present, and future.
Dwayne Donald is a descendent of the amiskwaciwiyiniwak and the Papaschase Cree and is an associate professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. His work focuses on ways in which Indigenous philosophies can expand and enhance our understandings of curriculum and pedagogy.
