Join us at the gallery and on the patio as we launch a series of publications commemorating the Garage Series of 2020–21

The Garage is a site at Latitude 53 for experimental new work by early-career artists. Through 2020–21, Latitude 53 worked with artists based in the city and surrounds through a process of peer nomination and vision. By asking members of artists' own communities to recommend and collaborate with artists making new work, we hope to encourage artists to realize ideas that were just waiting for a home. These artists transformed the Garage space, using it as a studio and staging ground, or making work directly on the gallery walls. This series featured work by Michelle Campos Castillo (with Zachary Ayotte), Mitchell Chalifoux (with Katelin Karbonik), Kiona Ligtvoet (with Paxsi), and Mika Haykowsky (with Liam Mackenzie).
