Join us this summer at Al Fresco on 4th Market for FREE workshops by Edmonton Artists!

In the Fading Like a Flower; Experimental Floral & Plant Collage Workshop by Alma Louise Visscher we will be working from a series of poetic prompts, participants will create a collage of pressed flowers, fabric, and text to think through and respond to the materials.

Location: 4th street promenade, 104th st and 101 ave, downtown.

About the Artist

Alma Louise Visscher (she/her) is an artist living and working in Amiskwacîwâskahikan, Treaty 6 Territory.   In her meandering art practice, she creates fabric-based installations, soft sculptures, jewellery and drawings that contemplate material culture and the poetics and limitations of abstraction.  Her work has been shown throughout North America, as well in Iceland and Germany. She is a recipient of the 2020 Edmonton Artist Trust Award and is thankful for the support from Alberta Foundation for the Arts, The Edmonton Arts Council, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
