CLAY DAY; CLAY SCULPTING WORKSHOP BY HOLLIS HUNTER

Dive into sculpting techniques through polymer clay with Hollis Hunter. Create a miniature 3D sculpture, or just have fun experimenting with different clay tools! This clay is forgiving and can be cured in a conventional oven at home, or re-molded over and over again.

Hollis Hunter is a local queer- and trans-identified visual artist in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (“Edmonton”). Hunter graduated from the University of Alberta with a BFA in Art & Design in 2020 and currently works as the Art Program Coordinator at Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS). Hunter’s figurative sculpture and painting practice is informed by his research in contemporary Art History, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and Sociology. Queer and trans representation, rights, and political activism are at the forefront of his work.
