Born in Leeds - England, Diana Ohiozebau is a mixed-media abstract artist based in Edmonton with over ten years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA), a Master of Fine Art (MFA) from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed) from the University of Alberta. Drawing inspiration from her African heritage, Ohiozebau explores themes of identity, social dynamics, cultural perspectives, and personal narratives in her artwork. She skillfully combines multiple materials including cultural fabrics and symbols to create visually striking and thought-provoking pieces.

Ohiozebau's studio practice has been recognized and showcased in prestigious exhibitions and artist talks throughout Alberta. Notable appearances include her interview on CBC Radio Active and Ckua radio -Edmonton, the RISE Emerging artists exhibition, Edmonton Design Week and the 5 Artist 1 Love exhibition at the Art Gallery of Alberta. Beyond her studio, Ohiozebau actively engages with the community where she collaborates with local organizations, schools, and community centers to bring art directly to the public through painting workshops, art classes, and paint nights. She also creates public art installations, murals, and interactive exhibits that engage and inspire viewers, making art accessible and inclusive. She believes in the transformative potential of creativity to enrich lives and strengthen communities as such, organizations like the Canada Council for the Arts and the Edmonton Arts Council have recognized and awarded her creative and studio exploration.
