Entanglements was an exercise in a simultaneous obscuring and revealing. I attempted to visualize beyond the surface of the form to trace the direction of the thread inwards to reveal the tangled mess within while the layered drawing obscures the new form that has been uncovered.
In my work, I often gravitate towards materials and objects that undergo transformation and exist in a state of flux. Influenced by microbiology, ecology, and the body I aim to become sensitive to the subtle shifts of the self and environment to collapse the distance between.
